Matthew 1 vs 1

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

What Does Matthew 1:1 Mean?

  1. The geology of Jesus narrated in Matthew 1 attests to God being faithful. He is the Yes and Amen and keeps his promises.
  2. In Genesis, God has promised Abraham that his descendants will inherit the world, be blessed and through all the world will be blessed.
  3. This came to pass after 43 generations.
  4. Jesus is a descendant of Abraham, and it was through Jesus that God fully fulfilled the Abrahamic covenant.

Prayer

  • I receive the spirit of patience to enter God’s promises.
  • I will not lose my divine promise from impatience.
